TradingView
TradingView is a trading and charting platform that allows you to analyse financial markets using advanced charts, indicators, and drawing tools. It also supports trading directly from its charts through integrated brokers.
When you connect your Deriv cTrader account to TradingView, you can place and manage trades using TradingView’s interface while all trade execution, pricing, and account management are handled by Deriv. This means you get TradingView’s charting experience combined with Deriv’s trading conditions and infrastructure.
Yes, you need a TradingView account to connect to Deriv and use TradingView charts. Once you have your TradingView account, connecting it to Deriv takes under a minute.
You can use either a free or paid TradingView plan. A paid plan gives you access to additional charting tools and features, but it is not required for trading with Deriv.
The integration works with Deriv cTrader accounts, both:
- Real (live) accounts for trading with real funds
- Demo accounts for practising with virtual funds
When you connect, all your cTrader accounts are linked automatically, so you can switch between them within TradingView.
If you don’t have a cTrader account yet, it can be created for you during the connection process when you link your Deriv account to TradingView.
To connect your Deriv account to TradingView:
- Log in to your TradingView account
- Open any instrument’s chart, click Trade, and find Deriv in the broker list
- Click Connect — you'll be redirected to the Deriv login page
- Log in with your Deriv credentials
- Review and accept the permissions on the consent screen
- You'll be redirected back to TradingView with trading now enabled
The consent screen will ask for permission to view your profile, view your trading data, place trades, and link your cTrader account. These permissions are what allow TradingView to display your account information and execute trades on your behalf.
Once connected, your cTrader account(s) will appear in TradingView, and you can start analysing markets and placing trades directly from the charts.
If you don’t already have a cTrader account, one can be created automatically during the connection process.
Yes, if you have multiple cTrader accounts (for example, different real or demo accounts), you can connect all of them to TradingView.
Within TradingView, you can easily switch between your connected accounts by selecting the account you want to trade with. Each account is identified by its account ID.
Yes. If you don't have a cTrader account when you connect, a demo cTrader account is automatically created for you and linked to TradingView. No extra steps are needed. The account creation happens as part of the connection flow, and you can start trading on your demo account right away.
To trade on TradingView, you’ll need to fund your Deriv cTrader account — not TradingView directly.
All deposits and withdrawals are handled through your Deriv account (via the Deriv website or app). Once you’ve added funds to your Deriv Wallet, you’ll need to transfer them to your Deriv cTrader account before you can start trading on TradingView.
If your cTrader balance is zero, make sure to deposit and transfer funds first before placing any trades.
Once the funds are transferred, they become immediately available in your cTrader account and can be used for trading on TradingView. You can check your cTrader balance in your Deriv account or in TradingView’s trading panel.
If you do not want to deposit funds yet, you can use a demo cTrader account to practise trading.
You can trade all instruments available on your Deriv cTrader account. This includes a wide range of markets such as:
- Forex
- Stocks
- Commodities
- Stock indices
- Cryptocurrencies
- ETFs
- Derived Indices, including 24/7 Synthetic Indices (like Volatility Indices, Crash/Boom Indices, Jump Indices, and more)
The full list of instruments you see in TradingView will match what is available in your cTrader account.
Yes, you can trade Synthetic Indices directly on TradingView charts using your Deriv account.
Synthetic Indices are Deriv’s proprietary indices that are available to trade 24/7, independent of real-world market hours. This means you can chart and trade them from within TradingView at any time, including outside traditional market hours.
Deriv doesn’t charge any additional fees for using TradingView. Your trading costs, including spreads and commissions, remain the same as when trading directly on cTrader, with no extra charges for connecting through TradingView.
No paid subscription is required. A free TradingView account is enough to connect your Deriv account and start trading.
Paid TradingView plans offer additional charting features, but they are not required to place or manage trades.
